Lithuania!

Why go...Lots of history in a very beautiful, forest-y land!

Vilnius!  The Old Town section is from the middle ages!  It is the capital city with lots of churches, castles, cafes and museums! 




National Parks!  Lithuania has beautiful national parks with "ethnographic villages," including the History of Bee Keeping Exhibit!


Klaipeda!  A seaside town with beaches on the Baltic Sea and cool museums!

Kaunas!  This is another large and historical city with lots of castles, museums, churches, and a beach on the river.


Trakai Island Castle!


Druskininkai!  A spa resort town famous for it's mineral springs since the 1700s!  It is also home to the Forest Museum; a natural forest exhibit and wood arts!

Andorra!

Why go...a tiny and beautiful mountainous country.  Hike and ski in small villages, and enjoy the cozy!  This whole country is a cozy-lover's dream!  Snuggle me in!

Macedonia!

Why go...Birth place of Mother Theresa.  Beautiful, rural country with lots of lovely old monasteries, and a big mixture of Baltic ethnicities.



Cultural tour of Macedonia!  Traditional food, music, dance, crafts.

Skopje, central Macedonia.  The capital city.  Museums, churches, and bazaars.  A city with Roman, Byzantian, and Ottoman architecture.  



Prilep, western Macedonia.  Treskavec Monastery. 



Debar, western Macedonia.  Galicnik Wedding Festival!  Every July, one couple is chosen to be married in the region's traditional style.  It is a 2 day wedding/festival that the whole community, as well as tourists, can take part in!  It begins in the cemetery, where the groom and his family invite the departed relatives to the wedding, includes processions through town, and ends with dancing!

Czech Republic!

Why Go...Beautiful forests!  Beautiful castles!  Beautiful, historic towns!  Tremendous amount of beauty in 1 small country!  It looks like the location of all fairy tales!





Karlovy Vary, West Bohemia.  Spa resort town famous since the 18th century.  GrandHotel Pupp.
