Oklahoma!

WHY GO...The beautiful national and state parks!  Lovely waterfalls, trees, and lakes!  The dreamiest thing to me is swimming in a beautiful setting, just like this.  Heaven!

This is a picture of Little Niagra in Chickasaw National Park.

Chickasaw Cultural Center.   Recreation of a traditional Chickasaw Village.  Spirit Forest exhibit where sensory effects are used to illustrate the Chickasaw belief in an interconnected relationship with the natural world!

Artesian Hotel.  Big spa/casino hotel near cultural center and national park.

Oklahoma City!  Waterford Marriot.   Science Museum Oklahoma!  Stockyards City; a historic area where the cowboy vibe is alive and well!
Frontier City, an amusement park with a Snake-Oil Medicine-Man Show!  Museum of Osteology, everything skeletal!  They display the skeletons in what would be their natural environment!  National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, has a neat recreation of a turn of the century cattle town!

Tulsa! Living Arts.  Living Arts is a gallery for "art and emerging art."  Wow!  What's "emerging art?"  I'd love to see!  Mayo Hotel.

Jenks!  Oklahoma Aquarium!  What I love about this aquarium is that it has awesome exhibits of exotic and local water systems; plus fishing classes!  You can spend the night in the shark dome too!  Or even get married there!
Some information for my fellow scaredy cats...

Spring and summer are tornado seasons, but September is warm enough for swimming and has a lower risk of tornadoes!

You may encounter coyotes in Oklahoma parks, but you would be unlikely to see mountain lions or bears.  However, a critter called a nutria (an aquatic rodent similar to a beaver, but not as cute), does live in certain parts of the state.  I don't know if they're present in the popular swimming spots, I just wanted to give everyone a warning!
